Glass drilling

After cutting and finishing, the glass can also be drilled if necessary. This is usually done for door handles and hinges, as well as fixing the glass when assembling in a particular space.

How is glass drilled?

For glass drilling, we use modern, special machines that operate with innovative technologies (CNCs). This is why we can drill holes in any type of glass, of different sizes. The holes are then chamfered if necessary to remove any tension that arises around them.

What you need to know about drilling glass

1. There must be at least double the distance between the hole in the glass and its edge in relation to the thickness of the glass (i.e. the distance from the hole to the edge will exceed 30 millimetres in the case of a thickness of 15 millimetres).

2. There must be at least twice the distance between two holes in the glass in relation to the thickness of the glass (i.e. the distance between the holes will exceed 30 millimetres for a thickness of 15 millimetres).

3. There must be at least 6 times the distance between the hole in the glass and the corners of the glass sheet in relation to the thickness of the glass (i.e. the distance from the hole to the corners of the glass will exceed 90 millimetres for a thickness of 15 millimetres).

4. The diameter of the hole must be larger than the thickness of the glass. But monsters can be made for unusual situations.
